Is it Good to Have a Book for Kids While Traveling?
When you and your family travel to a new country or have a long ride, kids can’t keep their attention for long. As soon as they get bored, they start bugging mommy or daddy all the time. I know what you mean when you’re on a plane with a baby and wish the flight was shorter. But I figured this out! At least sometimes.
Read books! My little boy can hold his attention for a while if the books are interesting. I don’t bring a lot of books with me when I travel. I usually pick no more than two because books are big and heavy. Besides that, I usually give him some toys, a coloring book, and pens.
Physical Book Vs. Electronic Device
I personally like reading real books, and this is often better for kids in many ways. Studies have shown that reading real books to young children leads to better relationships between parents and children than using digital apps. Children can fall in love with books and learn by doing with a written copy of a book. It can also help kids stay focused because electronic gadgets usually have more than just books on them.
E-books are used more often now that the computer world is bigger than ever. E-books are better than paper books in some ways as well. E-books are better for kids to learn words early on because they can be used in more ways. On top of that, electric toys have lights and buttons that can make them more fun for kids.
But keep in mind that it’s not a good idea to read an e-book to your child before bed. They find it hard to sleep because the blue lights make them feel awake. This is also true for adults. Choose for yourself whether a real book or an e-book is better for your child.
Get a Kids Adventure Story
Any child who loves to go on adventures will be thrilled by a kids’ adventure book. Because your family is already going on a trip, this kind of book is great to read while you’re away. Just going on trips is a thrill. A child might be able to tell that their trip is like the one in the story. If they can connect to the story, it can make reading it a lot more fun! While you and your family enjoy your trip, the little one can make links with the story. You can also use it to pass the time during the dull parts of your trip.

The Lost Little Dragon is a great adventure book for kids that I think you should read. This 32-page, 8.5-by-8.5-inch book is about a dragon named Drake who is tough and thinks he can do anything on his own. He soon knows he NEEDS help when he gets lost in the storm and can’t find his way back home.
From 3 to 6 years old, kids can go on a nature walk with the little dragon and learn how to ask for help and pay attention to their parents. As Drake Dragon makes new friends who help him get back home, the story teaches us important lessons. The main character goes on a journey, which is a lot like when your kid goes on a family trip. Your next question might be, “Why should I get this book?” Is the writer good? I wrote the book, and since 2017 I’ve been writing everything from essays to short stories. From the time I was a child, I’ve loved writing, and now I make it my job! My first book for kids is called The Lost Little Dragon. That doesn’t mean it has no value, though. Not at all! As I already said, I’ve written before because I’m learning to be an English teacher.
Also, I had other people read over the story several times after I finished writing it the first time. I think I’ve changed the story at least fifty times! Experts have also gone over it, and since it’s my first book, I did the pictures first before going over the story. I made a big mistake there. Now, though, everything works well together! Besides going to school to become a teacher, I’m a mom to a 2-year-old who has always loved books! Hearing him growl like the dragon or start to make owl sounds when we meet the wise owl is always fun. I’ve read this story to him several times.
