The buildings look pristine, covered in gold and I just thought of all the fun things to do in Phnom Penh. Buddhist statues covered the inside, where many can pray to them. There are two snakes with eight heads that led the way to many different kind of royal palace buildings. I was left in amazement.
Phnom Penh is a vibrant city full of culture, history, and amazing food. If you’re planning a trip to this city and looking for some fun things to do, you’re in luck! There are plenty of activities to keep you busy and entertained.
In this bustling city of Phnom Penh, it still holds a bit of beauty. In the first day and a half in cambodia, we visited a temple, the royal palace, and a night market. These are just some of the fun things to do in Phnom Penh.

The Royal Palace is a must-see when visiting Phnom Penh. This stunning building is a symbol of Cambodia’s rich history and culture, and it houses several beautiful temples, including the Silver Pagoda. You’ll also get to see the Throne Hall, where the current king still holds ceremonial events. This is just one of the many fun things to do in Phnom Penh.

Once the sun dipped down, nightlife began. My haggling skills on prices was becoming better. The common way to travel is by tuktuk. When it came to getting a ride bartering on the price was necessary.
The night market lies by a river. People crowded the area and several shops were side by side, leaving only a little room to walk by. I felt as though I was a cow in a herd. It was hard to stop and look at things with many people in front and back of us.
Music filled the air and someone began singing on a big stage. Rugs covered the ground in the middle of the food area. Some people were clustered in little groups on the rugs, enjoying the local food.
In conclusion, there is a lot of fun things to do in Phnom Penh since it’s a city full of culture and history. Whether you’re interested in exploring ancient temples, learning about Cambodia’s history, or simply enjoying the local cuisine, this city has something for everyone. So pack your bags and get ready for an unforgettable adventure in Phnom Penh and please be safe as you wonder there.
But an eerie feeling from the town clung to me. It was a bad feeling, and it wasn’t subsiding. I was ready to leave. Throughout our travels in Cambodia, we had learned that Phnom Penh was the most dangerous place in Cambodia. Bag snatchers, thieves, and buying of people.
