Minnehaha Falls Hike: My Personal Experience

Now, while we ventured around here, I noticed  the tall trees with lush green leaves that move in the wind. At this point, birds are singing and flying back and forth in the huge forest. On top of that, the air smells better, and I no longer feel the stress that I didn’t know I even had from being in the city. I could hear the soothing sound of a stream flowing next to the trees.

In the sky, there is a buzzing sound of bees  within the forest. As well as that, flower buds pop up from the ground that are on the bee’s path. On the edge of the forest, you can see all the colors of the rainbow. Sunlight stays in the sky for a little while longer as it goes down. As the clouds move in the wind, the colors mix together. The Minnehaha Falls hike often makes people feel amazed and in awe.

Creating a Backstory is a Journey in itself

As I look further away, I see more and more woods grow out of nowhere. Trees grow from small sticks to big ones very quickly. The new woods are full of life, and the air is filled with the sounds of birds and water running. As soon as the wind gets up, the leaves start to move around. While we hiked the trails, I created my own backstory of the place. This brought a whole other kind of experience with it!

Take Time for Nature

You can change the world and I love making up stories based on the scenery I’ve been in. Everyone has their own unique view of the world and enjoys different things. With that being said, I feel the most connected to nature. If people just take a moment each day to enjoy nature, I think they would understand just how good it is for their soul. Go outside and spend some time with yourself. It will help you with everything that life throws at you.

The Truth Behind Minnehaha Falls

A fun fact about Minnehaha Falls is that the city of Minneapolis bought it in 1889.  A huge reason they decided to buy it was to  make power from the flow of water. But the water flow wasn’t steady; the speed and amount of water changed all through the year. So, that idea was thrown out. However, people enjoy coming here to be on the Minnehaha falls hike.

The Dakota people believed that this waterfall was a peaceful spot to gather. There’s a unique poem “The Song of Hiawatha” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, that was written before the falls was bought that made the Minnehaha Falls an icon.
