Mind and Body Coach:

Dani here and I’m going to give you a little bit of a backstory on me, so you understand more as to why I have become a mind and body coach!

As someone that learned the importance of having the mind and body connected, it’s something that’s needed in order to heal yourself. This can be from something physically or mentally. For me, I had a traumatic brain injury where I had to relearn how to walk and use my brain. It was a tough journey. But when I finally listened to my body, that’s when I was able to heal. Now, it took about two years before I fully gave in and listened. That’s when I helped myself the most!

Now, it’s been over 9 years since my accident and I’ve come along quite well! From all the steps that I’ve learned, I want to help as many as I can with this knowledge. So, let me guide you into creating the inner garden that you want!

Common Misconceptions:

Below are some of the misconceptions when it comes to mind & body coaching along with some of the things involved with that.

 

Meditation is Just for Hippies

This is something I truly believed for the longest time. It wasn’t until recently that I realized that this is something I had been doing throughout my healing process. Now, I work on doing it 5 times a week. However, sometimes it can get hard when you’re dealing with a lot of emotions and if you’re on a toddler’s schedule (like me).

Paying a Coach Makes it Happen!

This is the first step for making your intention. However, it is you that has to make the change and put the effort in for the goal that you’re wanting. No one else can make it happen, except you. This is something I had trouble understanding for a bit. It can be hard focusing within and it can be scary. But when you finally give in to it, your world changes for the better!

Mind and Body Coaching is Only for People

with Physical Health Problems

In reality this kind of coaching can help anyone. It’s not just for physical health, but also for mental health. For instance, this can help with stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues. This has helped me fight back depression and figure out how to cope with my ADHD along with my traumatic brain injury.

Mind and body coaching involves only physical relaxation techniques

This is completely untrue! At the beginning of my healing, I couldn’t even do downward dog without having a piercing pain and sitting up and in one spot for any time more than a minute or two was not happening. So, I started my healing from the inside and then out. That’s how we should heal ourselves no matter what health issues we are going through. Everything stems from the inside.
